A strange, unknown monster materialized as he stood by the water, its movements sending chills down his spine. Cole froze as he tried to process what he was seeing. His pulse pounded as soon as he recognized the thing for what it was, and he frantically grabbed his radio to dial 911.

Ranger Cole was completely unaware of what he was seeing. Looking to the opposite side, he stood at the edge of the riverbank. He had an obvious look of confusion on his face, and his eyes were wide with disbelief. A thing was slowly coming up out of the water on the opposite side of the riverbank.
