The Tree Fell Down
The tree gradually started to topple as the trunk started to crack. Cole was able to steer the tree back after it nearly toppled in the wrong direction, giving him a scare. The tree came crashing down, just as Ranger Cole had hoped it would. With haste, he returned the axe to his rucksack and prepared to cross the river.

Standing at the base of the tree, Cole assessed it from all angles. It was also more difficult for him to cross over without falling because the tree trunk was thinner. All this would have been for nothing if he hadn’t been so sluggish. He didn’t give it much more thought before stepping up the tree, willing to put his life in danger.
