Muhammad Ali And Cleveland Williams
Ali grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, where he was born and raised. At the age of 12, he started training as an amateur boxer. He captured a gold medal in the 1960 Summer Olympics in the light heavyweight division at 18 and turned professional later. Ali defended his heavyweight title by knocking out Cleveland Big Cat’ Williams in the third round at the Houston Astrodome on November 14, 1966. The fight attracted a 35,460 crowd.
