Unspoken thoughts
Despite trying to suppress his feelings of betrayal and hurt, Julian often found his thoughts drifting to his children. Seeing kids playing in the park made him wonder what his own were like now. “Are they happy? Do they even remember me?” The unanswered questions tormented him, and the regret of not seeing them since the divorce gnawed at his heart. Every day, he battled the urge to reach out, afraid that doing so would only reopen old wounds.

Self-questioning
Julian often questioned whether leaving had been the right decision. Late at night, he would pace the floor, endlessly replaying the past in his mind. Though no other explanation seemed plausible, something still felt off. Yet, whenever doubts crept in, he quickly suppressed them, convincing himself that he had done what he had to do. “There was no other explanation,” he’d mutter, clinging to the only justification that brought him fleeting solace.
