To Make The Cake Itself

  • 3 cups granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Super Special Chocolate Cream Cheese Buttercream Frosting:

  • 1 1/2 cups butter softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 7-8 cups powdered sugar
  • about 1/4 cup milk as needed

The Proces:

Make sure to begin by preheating the oven to 350 degrees and butter the pan entirely, Then dust with flour. Next, you should mix together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. When the batter is fully mixed you can add eggs, buttermilk, warm water, oil and a dash of vanilla. For a few minutes, you should beat on medium speed until its creamy. Put that bad boy in the oven for 30-35 minutes and let it cool down for another 15, then go ahead with the best part, frosting!!
