Rudolf Schenker, singer, $80 million
rudolf Schenker founded the band Scorpions in 1965. However, the band didn’t really get off the ground until 1969 – when Klaus Meine and Rudolf Schenker’s brother Michael joined the Scorpions. Their first album, Lonesome Crow, received international attention. However, they first had to consistently play countless live gigs wherever there was a power socket. The first money was used to buy a band bus and to pay off the debts to the record company.

Sabine Lisicki, tennis player, $9 million
in 2006, Sabine’s career really took off for the first time: the hope of the next generation of German tennis players fought her way through to the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. Three years later, the tennis player managed to set an unofficial world record: During her match against Melinda Czink, the German tennis prodigy managed a serve that catapulted the ball across the tennis court at an incredible speed of 210 km/h. However, the official record is still held by tennis star Venus Williams with one km/h less.
