After leaving school, Eric began studying acting at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Academy of Music and Theater in Leipzig and performed at the renowned Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin as part of his training. After completing his studies, his first television role soon followed. He was seen in a supporting role in the RTL soap “Unter uns” for a few months before appearing in front of the camera as the chaotic but lovable Chris Lehmann in “Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten” in December 2014.

Cathy has been in the public eye herself since her relationship with the national player and Bundesliga professional. They have been a couple since 2007 and met in Cathy’s home city of Munich when Mats Hummels was still playing for FC Bayern. When the defender moved to Borussia Dortmund in 2008, his sweetheart followed him to the Ruhr region – and when he returned to FC Bayern, the couple moved back to Munich together. Even then, lying around lazily was nothing for Cathy: she went to university and graduated in business studies.
