Zac observed the vets, hoping that Lola’s calm demeanor might aid them soon. Each vet worked carefully, purposefully and deliberately. “We’re on the clock,” one veteran reminded, checking the instruments while remaining focused on the task. The room was a hive of activity, with everyone pushing toward a common goal. Zac crossed his fingers, hoping the stillness would help their efforts soon. Lola appeared considerably calmer while the vets worked on her. Zac was on edge, anxiously monitoring every movement, especially the ultrasound. As he looked at the screen, he noticed something unusual. “Hey, check that out,” he said quietly to one of the veterans, pointing to the monitor. The veterinarian nodded, his eyes widening with amazement. Lola’s transformation kept everyone focused, knowing that every activity contributed toward a positive outcome.
