Tense nerves
Zac’s nerves tightened as he awaited the outcome. “What will happen now?” he wondered, his gaze fixed on the vet as he approached Lola. The vet was able to inject the soothing medication with great accuracy. “Okay, it’s done,” the vet said quietly, exhaling. Zac remained anchored, keeping a tight eye on Lola, fearful of what might happen next. The key thing was that they were able to behave calmly.

A sigh of relief
Lola’s muscles tightened at first, in response to the invisible solution. However, she gradually began to relax. Zac let out a nervous breath that he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. “Phew, that’s a relief,” he murmured quietly, feeling a weight lift. For the time being, Lola appeared calmer, and Zac was grateful for the respite, hoping it would stay long enough to make progress.
